Dr. Eng. Sławomir Skwierz – Director of the Department of Market Forecasts and Analyses
Expert in energy sector modeling, responsible for the development and management of the STEAM-PL and ARENA-POL models. PhD in Technical Sciences in the field of energy, awarded by the Faculty of Mechanical Power Engineering and Aeronautics at the Warsaw University of Technology. Graduate of the Faculty of Fuels and Energy at AGH University of Science and Technology in KrakĂłw and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Warsaw. Professionally involved in the energy sector since 2006. Specializes in mathematical modeling of energy systems and the development of computer programs for their simulation and optimization. His main areas of expertise include: forecasts of fuel and energy demand, energy mix forecasts, pollution emission forecasts, fuel and energy carrier price forecasts, energy statistics, energy technologies, energy efficiency, and economic efficiency analyses of energy projects.
Author or co-author of many publications on energy policy (including PEP2030, PEP2040, and KPEiK_2030), energy security, and energy market operations, as well as numerous analyses for government bodies and national and international energy companies.
Dr. Eng. Uros Radovic - Chief Specialist in the Department of Market Forecasts and Analyses
Expert in energy sector modeling, responsible for the development and management of the MESSAGE-PL and ORCED-Pol models. Uros Radovic holds a degree in energy systems engineering from the University of Belgrade, a master’s degree in computer science, and a PhD in Technical Sciences in systems and network control from George Washington University in the United States. He has over 30 years of experience in developing and applying computer tools and economic and mathematical models for analyzing and planning fuel and energy systems, energy policy studies, energy demand forecasting, greenhouse gas and air pollution emission forecasting, and energy technology development. He is also an expert with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the use of IAEA energy system planning tools (ENPEP/BALANCE, WASP, MAED, MESSAGE, SIMPACTS).
MSc Eng. Paweł Horoś - Director of the Database Department
Expert in computer programming and databases. Graduate of the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics (FTiMS) at the Warsaw University of Technology, majoring in applied mathematics, specializing in financial engineering. He has over 20 years of experience in software development for the energy sector.
His main area of activity involves supervising a team that collects statistical data for the database, as well as creating, developing, and maintaining systems for data management, reporting, and control.
He co-developed the ARES System - Online Reports and Reporting, the Online Store, and several applications used internally at ARE.
MSc Janusz Dzwolak - Chief IT Specialist
Expert in computer programming and databases. Graduate of the Higher School of Management SIG in Warsaw, majoring in Information Systems, and postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of Information Management Systems. He has over 20 years of experience in software and database design and development. Specializes in database and data warehouse issues, data normalization, software architecture, and the design of data management and reporting tools. Co-creator of national systems for collecting and processing data on fuel and energy consumption and heat from renewable sources used by the Central Statistical Office (GUS), as well as the ARE Online Store and other applications used internally at ARE.
